Kate Spade Presents: Happy Thursday!

Thursday’s in London just got a little bit better with the help from Kate Spade New York.  Every other Thursday till December 19th, Kate Spade is hosting a mini fashion party event providing sips, snacks and shopping for all you lovely fashionista’s!

I was in London on Thursday 7th with two of my beauts hanging out in Covent Garden, and en route to Piccadilly Circus we was given a leaflet out by a lovely sales assistant working for Kate Spade, telling us to pop in for free drinks and cakes.  Honestly anyone that mentions the word ‘CAKE’, I am sold. Haha.

We went in and the place was buzzing, at the entrance we was greeted by handsome waiters serving free Prosecco or non – alcoholic elderflower and lemon spritzer.  We was allowed freely to walk around the store to look at their latest collection of beautiful handbags, clothes, jewellery and their fabulous range of accessories.

There were a number of waiters on hand throughout the store to top up your wine glass, and handing out pink popcorn and cupcakes for you to snack on – they were tasty!

Cupcakes, anyone?

A number of things caught my eyes and I had to hold my purse tight and not whip out the card.  First thing that caught my eyes were their stunning costume jewellery, which showcased beautiful rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings.  I am a sucker for gold and rose gold jewellery and squealed with excitement inside my head when I saw these inspiring phrases bangles, along with other bracelets they had on sale.

The second thing that caught my eyes were their fabulous bags.  I never took notice of Kate Spade handbags before, it was my never go to handbag luxury label and boy I have been missing out.

All the handbags that I saw were very chic and classy handbags that you can wear in the day time and nighttime as Kate Spade kept designs to a minimal, no fussy detailing.  To me this is great as it allows the bags to do all the talking, and what I love on all bags is the use of gold for their hardware. Gold on any colour handbag always makes the bags stand out from the crowd.

My favourite bags from their collection are the Cedar Street Maise and 2 Park Avenue Beau Bag.  Don’t need to explain why, just look at these beauties!

Cedar Street Maise, $298 / £245

You get a reusable shopping tote when you sign up to their newsletter and you also get entered automatically to a raffle to win a handbag! Plus with any purchase between 12:00-8:00pm you get a free Kate Spade New York Manicures, brought to you by Nails inc.  Currently Glamour magazine is giving out four hot shades of Kate Spade for Nails inc nail varnish in their December issue.

So if you’re in London on 21st November (the next Happy Thursday event), pop along to the Kate Spade store with your girlfriends, even if you don’t purchase anything you still have lots of fun sipping, snacking and looking at their beautiful collection.
